The Challenge
Aimco Global has decided to implement Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (fka Pardot) to unify its marketing & sales operations tech stack. The core goal of this project was to integrate MCAE into Aimco Global’s marketing and sales operations.
The investment in optimizing MCAE aimed to provide a scalable platform that supports marketing and sales operations. This platform enhances data-driven decision-making for marketing ROI investments and offers actionable insights for users across the business to support their daily activities.
The Solution
The project was divided into the following phases:
Detailed Design
Our team has conducted sessions to transform the high-level technical roadmap into detailed marketing user stories.
Build & QA
a. MCAE Technical Setup. Our team has implemented a website tracking code for visitor activity, created a vanity tracker domain for brand purposes, and implemented email authentication to optimize deliverability.
b. Salesforce CRM Integration & Configuration. We enabled Salesforce SSO for user management, created queues, optimized default and custom field mapping, and custom objects from MCAE <> Salesforce. Also, we updated all core Salesforce page layouts to present MCAE data for sales and marketing users at their fingertips.
c. Marketing Assets. Our team has migrated existing email templates and nurture campaigns from ActiveCampaign. We also implemented a branded email preference center and unsubscribe pages. MCAE form handlers were connected to existing lead capture forms.
d. Lightning Email & Landing Page Builder. We enabled the drag-and-drop Lightning email and landing page builder for easy-to-use marketing campaigns.
e. Data Migration. Imported prospects databases and unsubscribe/opt-out lists from the ActiveCampaign.
Training and Deployment
We provided comprehensive training for the marketing team on utilizing all MCAE features and running efficient marketing campaigns.
Post-Deployment Support
Offered ongoing support to ensure smooth operation and address any issues.
