The Challenge
WebinarGeek is a fast-growing webinar SaaS platform looking to expand its partner network by building integrations with leading CRMs. Originally, the WebinarGeek team wanted to integrate the Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (MCAE) marketing automation tool directly. After careful discovery, the MarTech Do team recommended focusing on Salesforce CRM integration and utilizing campaign management operation best practices.
The Solution
After the discovery phase of understanding how WebinarGeek data architecture is built, our team moved on to providing recommendations on architecture design and best practices for marketing and operations teams.
Campaign Object Utilization
We recommended utilizing campaign object for segmentation and webinar attendance tracking. This included creating campaign records directly from the WebinarGeek platform and updating the required fields.
Webinar Attendees
Contacts and leads are tracked as campaign members in campaigns created per webinar. You can see people who (1) Registered, (2) Unregistered, (3) No-shows, or (4) Watched the webinar on demand. This allowed marketing teams to do zero work on managing attendee information between two platforms, focusing on marketing segmentation and campaign operations.

Webinar Engagement Data
Viewer actions and engagement, such as poll responses, call-to-actions, questions, and evaluation forms, are created as events in Salesforce.
